Charity Auction
The annual MCBA Art & Collectibles auction will take place on Sunday at 2:30PM to sponsor the Minnesota Lupus Foundation ( www.lupusmn.org ) and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund ( www.CBLDF.org). 100% of all money collected will be donated to these groups. Donations are welcome.

To celebrate, here is a never before seen teaser image just finalized today for the chapter 1 title page. We’re extremely excited about this book. Lovecraftian horror, mystery, magic, monstrosities – The Blue Flame gots it all.

Earnest Walking through Kausia

Irrigate, co-sponsored by Springboard for the Arts, is an initiative to artistically engage and support the communities along the new Central Corridor Light Rail during its construction. Through the concept of “placemaking”, the program is not simply “beautifying” these communities with artwork. Rather, it is helping build stronger neighborhoods through artistic engagement. For our project, we are making the drab concrete skyscrapers in downtown blossom with color and life – creating a visual landmark for LRT passengers and pedestrians. Señor Wongs is located in the Kellogg Building between the Cedar and Union Depot stations. The mural will feature a tranquil East Asian style garden scene that will be seen from the Corridor and Señor Wongs patio.

The mural is set to be completed by mid May with a reception at Señor Wong’s at the end of the month (TBA).

We will be posting more details and progress as it comes.

Dim Media’s Blue Birthmaks series will be on display at the Loft Salon in Uptown through the end of May.

The original Birthmarks series was showcased in Fall 2010 and we’re excited to have the second installment on display.

The loft is a full service salon located in a historic Uptown building overlooking the bustling intersection of Lake and Lyndale. Check out the series and go get your hair did by Jen or one of the talented stylists.
